PC-3 cells (human tumorigenic and metastatic prostate cancer cells) were obtained from American Type Culture Collection (ATCC), Manassas, USA, and cultured under standard conditions (Dulbecco's RPMI 1640 medium, with GlutamaxTM 1, Invitrogen) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (Fetalclone III, SH30109.03, HYCLONE) and 1% Penicillin-Streptomycin (Invitrogen). RWPE-1 cells (non-tumorigenic human prostate cells) were also obtained from ATCC and cultured in keratinocyte-SFM Kit (Invitrogen) supplemented with 1% fetal bovine serum, Fetalclone III, SH30109.03, HYCLONE, and 1% Penicillin-Streptomycin (Invitrogen).
