Regulation of secondary metabolism in filamentous fungi
-
Ignazio Carbone is an Assistant Professor interested in the ecology and evolution of fungal pathogens on both macro and microevolutionary timescales. His main focus is the evolutionary genetics of aflatoxin biosynthesis in Aspergillus. He is also developing software tools to facilitate and enhance our understanding of the underlying evolutionary processes shaping diversity in pathogen populations. Judy Jakobek is a Research Analyst for the Carbone laboratory interested in fungal molecular population genetics. Jorge Ramirez-Prado is a Postdoctoral Researcher exploring the population genetics of mating system evolution in Aspergillus. Bruce Horn is a Microbiologist interested in the ecology and population biology of aflatoxigenic fungi.
