    • This study as well as [25] and [26] identify some of the exogenous ligands - α-glucuronosyl and a galacturonosyl ceramide - which activate the canonical iTCRα14 NKT cells. In addition, it is shown that other bacteria can activate NKT cells by upregulating the endogenous ligand iGb3 by way of a TLR-dependent mechanism.
