37. Tests show that the atomic configurations do not change much (Δd<0.05 Å) with the size of the basis set when varying the cutoff energy from 9 to 13.69 Ry. The estimated error for calculated energy differences is approximately 0.05 eV. For the calculation of the theoretical STM images (local density of states) we used an enlarged slab, a cutoff of 13.69 Ry, and the appropriate theoretical lattice constant of 5.40 Å.
