Of the 14 azides used (Scheme 2), two have chiral centers (i.e., 13 and 14). 14 was synthesized from the corresponding chiral amino acid (Supporting Information). 13 was made from its racemic starting material. No attempt was made to isolate the two enantiomers in A13. It is possible that one enantiomer may be more potent than the other.
