After 40 min, the reaction was stopped by addition of 100 mM EDTA and 1 mM solution in 100 mM HEPES followed by a solution of diluted streptavidin coated SPA beads (Amersham) in PBS to give a final concentration of 0.25 mg of beads per assay well. The wells were counted on a Packard TopCount NXT microplate counter.
19. Glycogen accumulation in differentiated L6 cells was determined by an adaptation of the method decribed by: Thomas J.A., Schlender K.K., Larner J. Anal. Biochem. 25:1968;486. Our exact protocol will be reported shortly.
