Treatment of SARS with human interferons
-
Cinatl J, Morgenstern B, Bauer G, et al.: Treatment of SARS with human interferons. Lancet 2003, 362:293-294. This paper assesses the antiviral potential of recombinant interferons through in vitro testing using Vero and Caco2 cell lines. The results indicate that interferon β has more potential in both the prophylaxis and the treatment of SARS-CoV infection. However, the results require further assessment.
