This is an interesting, new approach to the assessment of eicosanoid concentrations in exhaled air condensates. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used by the authors for eicosanoid concentration determination. Increased sensitivity might be expected with future use of radioimmunoassay or gas chromatography/mass spectrometry.
