36. 2 phase at 48 hours. After 48 hours 15 to 20% of the cells die, and there is no net increase in the total number of live B cells. Therefore, even if we assume a 6-hour cell cycle, selective expansion of small subpopulations of cells does not account for the loss of idiotype expression.
