    • When a catalyst is poisoned by a substoichiometric amount of poison, nanoparticles are considered to be true catalysts. When we added 0.3, 1, and 2 equivalents of PMe2Ph to the Co atom of the catalyst under the same reaction conditions, 2 equivalents of PMe2Ph were required to suppress significantly the formation of 1. The result of the poisoning-test indicates that a homogeneous Co complex worked as a true reactive catalyst in the present catalytic reaction. For a recent review, see
