Electrochemical analysis of our glycoconjugated photosensitizers was unable to be performed due to the limitation of the electrochemical window of the solvents. One-electron reduction potential of H2TFPP was reported to be -1280mV vs. Fc/Fc+ in CH2Cl2, namely approximately -880mV vs. NHE (A. Sen, V. Krishnan, Tetrahedron Lett. 1996, 37, 5421). Hence the reduction of O2 by anion radical species H2TFPP•- should be energetically acceptable.
