This may possibly arise from adsorption of the polymer onto the columns Note that, although unusual, the molar mass values of high molar mass PMLABe samples could still be determined with a rather reasonable accuracy from the relatively sharp, non-overlapping chain-end signals of the base, thus allowing a fairly reliable integration of the resonances (notably because these signals correspond to a significant number of hydrogens in the latter initiator and therefore emerge well from the spectrum baseline). This allowed a fairly reliable integration of the resonances as illustrated in Fig. S2 in ESI
