    • Our preliminary investigation suggested that several cellular uptake pathways are simultaneously involved in the internalization of both nanoclusters, with macropinocytosis being the most preferred route. Macropinocytosis is known to allow for the increased uptake and facile release of macromolecules into the cytosol while avoiding lysosomal degradation (see Figure S25 in the Supporting Information).
