14. All of our studies have been carried out on ketosteroid isomerase from Pseudomonas putida, also called pKSI. Some of the earlier studies mentioned in the Introduction and Discussion were carried out on the homologue from Comamonas testosteroni, called tKSI. In general, the kinetics and mechanism of wild-type pKSI and tKSI are known to be very similar.
