We recently confirmed that the absorption/emission spectra and dual-emission behavior of the complex mentioned above could be very well reproduced by our own experiments. Thus, the dual-emission behavior of the Ru(II) complexes having 4-ethynylphen-type ligands reported by Glazer et al. will not be due to emissive impurities of the complexes.
