For cyclohexenyl acetate, a selectivity factor s ? 45 has been found. The selectivity factor s expresses the relative rates of reaction of the two enantiomers and can be estimated by nonlinear regression of s = ln[(1 - c)(1 - ee)]/ln[(1 - c)(1 + ee)]; see:;;, However, determination by measurement of the absolute rates of reactions of the enantiomers shows this value to be a substantial underestimate (; Unpublished results).
