    • This reaction could be directly achieved at a smooth silver cathode, but the process is quite slow. It appeared that the use of Ag-Pd electrodes or fluidized systems with Ag-Pd powder allows a much more efficient reaction. It has been found that dibromoalkanes such as 1,3-dibromopropane and 1,4-dibromobutane yield the best results. (-13, 17)
