    • While reaction of CO with reduced Ni complexes remains a possibility, preliminary investigation of 1 (DMF) and 7 (acetonitrile) by cyclic voltammetry reveals only quasi-reversible reductions at -1.40 and -1.31 V, respectively, vs SCE. Both complexes showed reversible oxidations (1, +0.67 V; 7, +1.04 V)
