    • 2+ occurs at a trpy localized one at potentials more negative than -1.2 V. The functionality and reactivity of the Ru-dioxolene-polypyridyl complexes presented in the manuscript are generated by the redox reaction of dioxolene but not by polypyridyl. So, Ru-dioxolene- polypyridyl complexes are abbreviated as Ru-dioxolene complexes even though dioxolene is involved in the complexes.
