    • Crystallography gives an average structure, and thus the central ring cannot be distinguished from its mirror image because the pyridazine is positioned at a center of inversion. In fact, the inclusion of a 50:50 N-C character to both C and N atoms at the 1 and 4 positions of the ring is stable in the refinements and fits slightly better to the observed data than another more ordered model.
