Our value of [α]D35=+22.2 degcm 2g-1 (c=0.68 gdL-1, CHCl3) differs from the reported value of [α]D35=+6.3 degcm2g-1 (c=0.46 gdL-1, CHCl 3, Prof. Nicolaou and Dr. Edmonds informed us that more recently they measured values of +17.4 degcm2 g-1 (c=2.25 gdL-1, CHCl3) and +17.8 degcm2g-1 (c=0.49 gdL-1, CHCl3) for a sample of 4 with 85% ee
