    • The surface dimension can be determined by several methods. Many authors describe the surface dimension value as a fractal dimension. However, to describe a surface in the framework of the fractal theory, it is necessary to probe that such a value remains constant in the wide range of sensing distances. Hence, though in this work we have employed methods that are reported to give the fractal dimension of a surface, we prefer to use surface dimension to name the value obtained with the different methodologies employed.

    • Another approach (Liu, S. H. Phys. Rev. Lett. 1985, 55, 529-532) to calculate the surface dimension from the CPE exponent is d = 3 - n, which would give a value of 2.15.
