    • Geminin knock-out mice arrest at the eight-cell stage of development when they have prematurely differentiated into giant trophoblastic cells and undergone endoreduplication. In the normal regulation of endoreduplication in trophoblastic cells, geminin is degraded to facilitate duplication of the genome.
