    • A differential lysis method of RNA extraction was used to define the metabolic and respiratory state of M. tuberculosis after murine macrophage infection and demonstrated a nitric oxide-dependent transcriptome in IFN-γ stimulated macrophages. The pathogen profile was used as a bioprobe for the intracellular environment.
