    • Although we encountered no difficulties in working with these 1,2,4-trioxolanes (secondary ozonides), routine precautions such as the use of shields, fume hoods, and avoidance of metal salts should be observed whenever possible. Differential scanning calorimetry experiments revealed that these trioxolanes had good thermal stabilities; decomposition occurred at temperatures >130 °C with enthalpies ranging from 360 to 630 J/g.
