    • Although light-induced TIM ubiquitination, but not degradation, was previously observed without cotransfected JET (7, 8), we did not detect significant ubiquitination under these conditions. This discrepancy may arise from procedural differences (e.g., use of S2R+ cells instead of 52 cells, or the fact that we did not apply heat to induce expression of hemagglutinin-tagged ubiquitin).
