    • We found that small peptides isolated from the cytosol of human melanoma cells catalyzed the formation of 2a in 54% yield with 75% ee. In addition, bovine serum albumin mediated the asymmetric formation of 2a with 9% ee in water Small peptides (<40 amino acids) catalyze aldol reactions and related reactions in buffer.
