    • A role for Arf1 in mitotic Golgi disassembly, chromosome segregation and cytokinesis
    • A connection between Golgi disassembly in mitosis and chromosome segregation and cytokinesis is revealed. Arf1 is found to be inactivated early in mitosis. This inactivation is shown to be necessary for Golgi membrane disassembly as well as for the dispersal of numerous signaling and regulatory Golgi-peripheral proteins.
