    • By simply following the described procedure, spikes might appear in the calculated signal at the turning points of delay time sweeps. The polarity and height of the peaks depend on the relative phase between the delay time modulation and the sweep. By averaging the number of sweeps with random relative phases, these peaks are smoothed out.
