    • The good affinity of hPepT1 for the C-2 dipeptides and the high concentration of prodrug in plasma following oral administration of the indicated C-2 dipeptides suggest that these prodrugs are absorbed but not readily hydrolyzed to the parent whereas the N peptides apparently absorbed well and hydrolyzed.
