Other kinds of NT loops have been reported in R. Martel, H. R. Shea, and Ph. Avouris, Nature (London) 398, 299 (1999). These loops consist of several ropes thai curl together to form rings, and typically have much larger radii than the single-tube loops considered in this paper. Measurement of their electrical properties is also very different in that the electrodes make direct contact to the loops.
