    • Even though it is well known that magnetic shape anisotropy can predominate over crystalline anisotropy in nickel, we still examined the sample for for preferred orientation. X-ray diffraction data were in excellent agreement with that reported for polycrystalline nickel [30], indicating an absence of preferred orientation in the electrodeposited nickel.
