    • note
    • In contrast to Gunther and Ang's third-person effect study in Singapore, the family income level of respondents in this study did not have an impact on respondents' attitude toward censorship of Internet content. Nor did religious beliefs. As for media exposure, exposure to the Web in general, traditional media and R-rated content did not make any difference. However, respondents' exposure with X-rated material turned out to be a fairly strong and significant predictor support for censorship.
