    • Use of a cell-based, lawn format assay to rapidly screen a 442,368 bead-based peptide library
    • Provides details on the ability to screen a 442 368 member peptide library at ∼three library equivalents in less than a day with estimates of the ability to screen 8.1 million beads/day based on the experience with this library. SAR of peptide α-MSH agonists was developed and, based on the results, several 6-8-mers were synthesized, with several demonstrating good activity. Demonstrated the ability to perform 'in situ' cleavage with a melanophore lawn and introduced the concept of scanning as a means to select bead density for subsequent screening efforts
