42. The "cut-off" geometry for the 5-mer chain is a trigonal bipyramid with sites 2, 3, and 4 forming the base plane and sites 1 and 5 being located above and below this plane. Site-site pair 1-5, 1-3, 3-5, and 2-4 are separated by the well diameter λσ while pairs 1-4 and 2-5 are in hardcore contact.
