    • Several ligands that create small bite angles such as bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane, bis(diphenylphosphino)ethylene, and bis(diphenylphosphino)benzene, were shown previously to give poor product:arene ratios. In some cases, the low yields of amination product may be due to ligand decomposition under the reaction conditions; see reft 2 and 3.
