    • 15,16 is ligated to cobalt, one might expect that it would be bonded to a single proton and not two protons proposed. Coordination to the metal would be analogous to protonation of an amide. Rapid loss of a proton would be expected upon coordination. This is actually observed in the equitorial amide ligand of BLM.
