    • Syndiotactic and isotactic denote the stereochemistry of the polymer of the substituted alkenes such as propylene and methyl methacrylate. In Scheme 20, the stereo-chemical relationships of the neighboring cyclohexane groups along the polymer chain are expressed using this terminology, although the original definition of syndiotactic and isotactic does not cover such polymers. The stereochemistry of several polymers in this review is expressed according to each of the original papers
