2 hyperpolarization: application to natural extracts
-
This recent publication shows how the selective properties of the parahydrogen approach can be cleverly used to create a chemosensor, able to target otherwise overlapped analytes. This allowed the authors to perform the selective quantification of pyridine and pyrazine derivatives in roasted ground coffee, using a standard addition procedure and the 2D SEPP-HoSQC experiment, with a detection limit in the low-micromolar concentration range.
