-
PID: 24167451, This is a prospective study of 235 South-African patients with a meningeal-like illness utilizing Expert MTB/RIF for the diagnosis of tuberculous meningitis. The study showed that this assay had a sensitivity of 62% and a specificity of 95%. This assay was also found to be more sensitive compared to smear microscopy
