Both tanezumab monotherapy and tanezumab plus NSAID combination therapy produced statistically significant improvements in WOMAC scores, compared to NSAIDs alone. However, combination therapy was associated with the highest frequency of serious adverse events, including osteonecrosis and progressive OA.
