Therefore, to further confirm the therapeutic effects of puerarin in MIRI, more animal studies and randomized controlled clinical trials are required. Conclusions Puerarin might have a protective effect for myocardial tissues during MIRI through increasing SOD and decreasing MDA and CK. However, more animal studies and randomized controlled clinical trials are needed to confirm these results.
