    • To prepare the water-in-oil emulsions used in this SAXS study, a 1.0% w/w PLMA16-PBzMA37 worm dispersion was homogenised with an equal volume of water, giving a final worm concentration of 0.43% w/w. After removal of any excess non-adsorbed worms from the oil-continuous phase (via five successive replacements of the supernatant obtained after droplet creaming), SAXS analysis shows that only 0.084% w/w worms (or 0.056 vol%, Table 1) are present in the emulsion. This suggests that a significant fraction of the worms do not adsorb onto the aqueous droplets under these conditions
