Obstructive sleep apnea: The most common secondary cause of hypertension associated with resistant hypertension

This study performed a systematic evaluation of secondary forms of hypertension in 125 consecutive patients with resistant hypertension from two Cardiology Centers. Obstructive Sleep Apneas was by far the most common condition associated with resistant hypertension, even considering a conservative diagnosis criteria (≥15 events/hour of sleep)
