    • Feldman and co-workers have prepared some noble-gas hydrides by irradiating HY/Ng matrices with fast electrons. Buck and co-workers have performed photolysis experiments in Xe clusters in the gas phase.

    • These equations describe processes in solid xenon. In Kr matrices, reactions (5) and (7) should be replaced by direct formation of hydrogen molecules in the H + H reaction. It seems that the HArF formation in solid argon is dominated by local recombination without global mobility.

    • HXeCCXeH and HXeOXeH are formed upon H atom mobility in reactions involving noble-gas radicals HXeCC and HXeO: HXeCC + Xe + H and HXeO + Xe + H. HXeO radicals are formed upon O-atom mobility in the H + Xe + O reaction. The O-atom mobility occurs in solid xenon at about 30 K, i.e., at lower temperatures than the H-atom mobility. This chapter mostly discusses the mobility of H atoms; however, some other fragments can also move in the lattice.
