The geometry of these species has been optimized at the B3LYP/6-31+G(d,p) level of theory. Harmonic vibrational frequencies were obtained for each structure to characterize them as minima or transition states. These frequencies were also used to compute the zero-point energies (ZPE). Evaluation of the final relative energies was carried out using single-point energy calculations with the same functional and a larger basis set: B3LYP/6-311+G(3df,2p), including the ZPE correction and solvent effects (THF) by using the Polarizable Continuum Model (PCM), see:, J.
