The accuracy of the two-electron calculation for an infinite-quantum- well-confinement potential has been checked by comparing the present calculation in the two-dimensional limit (in the z direction we use an infinite quantum well with width of 1 nm) with the two-dimensional calculation on the grid showing an accuracy better than 1 μeV with ground state energy E=3.574 meV. For parabolic confinement we compared the present computational scheme with the center-of-mass approach obtaining differences in the energy of order of tenth of μeV with the ground-state energy E=248.15 meV.
