    • We also carried out an experiment on the complex formation between CurCOOH and poly(A). We confirmed that large changes in the UV-Vis and CD spectra of poly(A) are also induced upon addition of CurCOOH, and that these spectral changes are affected by the NaCl concentration. However, the spectral changes observed as functions of CurCOOH and NaCl concentrations are very complicated compared with those of poly(C). Therefore, these poly(A) data are not included in the text of this paper
