    • We also examined the use of the chiral Zn complex based on N, N ′-bis[3,5-di- tert -butylsalicylidene-1,2-diaminocyclohexane] and a nonmetalated salphen ligand as substrates: in the first case, no reaction was observed, while in the latter case, only some hydrolysis was noted in the isolated, impure product.
