The laser spot size for this instrument and the 20× objective is approximately 10 μm, which does not capture enough surface area to describe the entire compact surface. Others have remedied this problem for quantification of solid forms using Raman spectroscopy by using rotating stages. (50) This approach was not used here since quantification by Raman microscopy was not the intention for this study
